Kenya Kwanza luminaries have started a 60-day vigorous campaign for their presidential candidate William Ruto ahead of the August general election.

The leaders said the team comes together to popularise Kenya Kwanza in the region and DP Ruto.

They have been engaging residents in meetings to drum up support for Ruto.

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok and his Trans Nzoia counterpart Patrick Khaemba on Tuesday led supporters in Kebiringo town to woo residents to vote for them in various seats.

Present leaders were Nyamira governor hopeful Walter Nyambati and running mate Erneo Nyakiba, senator aspirant Nyambega Mose, and Woman Representative aspirant Alice Chae.

Others were West Mugirango MP aspirant Charles Ongoto, and South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro among other UDA MCA aspirants.

“Let us support Ruto because in the Kenya Kwanza government everybody will be taken care of despite their background. Those lying to you are interested in taking care of their selfish interests, ” Nanok said.

The leaders toured Kisii town and opened UDA regional presidential campaign secretariat before meeting delegates and supporters.

Nanok said all the UDA aspirants will work together and carry out campaigns as a team to deliver the various seats in the county and the presidency.

West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said the Nyamira Kenya Kwanza brigade has decided to carry out campaigns across the county and beyond as a team.

“We aim to ensure we deliver as many seats as possible in the region because we are confident Ruto has the majority support from our region, giving us a chance to clinch the presidency,” Kemosi said.

Governor Khaemba said the Kenya Kwanza team is considerate to the small business people and needs to be supported to deliver.

He attributed the high standards of living to poor leadership saying the economy has been highly affected and said the Kenya Kwanza government is ready to revive the economy.

He said the Azimio coalition is confused because they do not have a working manifesto and cannot convince Kenyans what they are planning to do.

“If you trace the records back, our country was very stable hence life was affordable. This is the dream that Kenya Kwanza has for Kenyans,” Khaemba said.

The Kenya Kwanza team said it is high time for the country’s top leadership since the Azimio la Umoja candidate and his team have nothing to offer to Kenyans.
