Susan Muratha Kihara has withdrawn from vying as the chairperson of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Nairobi County despite the party assuring of free, fair and credible elections in all counties in electing leadership of County Officials.

Muratha Kihara further threw her weight and support behind Bishop Margret Wanjiru, who has confirmed that she will vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket in the forthcoming polls. In early January, UDA had fronted Bishop Wanjiru as its choice for the Nairobi gubernatorial By Election that never happened.

The two had vowed to popularize Deputy President William Ruto’s bottom-up economic model across the county claiming it resonates well with all Kenyans. An economic approach which the DP has constantly said is focused on creating jobs for millions of Kenyans who are unemployed and small scale business people.

Susan Muratha further stated that in two weeks time, She will announce her next move and seat that she will vie in Nairobi County under UDA Party.

The Deputy President has all but confirmed he will vie for the presidency on a UDA ticket. He has vowed to make United Democratic Alliance a formidable and national outfit anchored on unity, good governance and development.
