It’s all system go for Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA as the party gears up for nominations next week on Thursday.

The National Elections Board on Monday said the party is set to recruit 47 Returning officers, 128 presiding officers and 100,000 polling clerks to oversee the exercise.

“Hustlers are encouraged to visit the party portal at UDA.ke to apply,” NEB chairman Anthony Mwaura said during a press briefing at party headquarters.

Speaking at his Karen office earlier, Ruto said he will personally oversee the exercise.

Mwaura said the board will conduct nominations in 12 counties for governor seat, 19 for senate and 27 for women representative seat.

He said 128 constituencies will hold nominations to choose their candidates while 892 will chose their MCA hopefuls.

“Kindly note that in some areas there are candidates who are not opposed or aspirants opted for consensus and agreed on viable candidates and therefore no nomination will be carried in these areas,” he added.
